Reconciliation Action Plans
Reconciliation Australia states: At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.
An authentic Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) provides a framework for how an organisation embraces the oldest living culture on earth and demonstrates respect in their business practices for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and non-Indigenous employees. It provides a pathway to walk together, to learn together; to build better businesses.
I am available to review existing RAPs, and facilitate a collaborative process to develop new RAPs.
Cultural Competency Development
Through a facilitative process, I am available to assist Boards of Directors, business leaders and organisations develop cultural competency. By establishing an open forum, answering questions, suggesting local voices and guiding teams to demonstrate their respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, I can assist people to enhance their understanding and skills.
Mentoring
Having a mentor that is an experienced business consultant coupled with experience as the daughter of an Aboriginal father and English mother, can be a positive influence to the development of Indigenous and non-Indigenous business leaders.
